Make a donation: Keep our voices strong

Like many of you, we at the CCPA are concerned about recent actions by the federal government that stifle democratic debate. These actions include:

  • Major cuts to Statistics Canada and elimination of the long-form census—the most crucial policy tool available for analyzing poverty and inequality in Canada.
  • Abolishment of the National Council of Welfare and removal of funding of prominent arms-length social and labour market policy research institutes—forcing their closure.
  • Drastic weakening of environmental assessment rules allowing easier approval of risky new projects like pipelines.

These attacks have a chilling effect on those speaking out for a democratic and just society. But the CCPA will not be silenced.

Canadians rely on the research and analysis we provide. Our work shows that progressive policies are not only possible, but also practical and affordable.

The need to expand our research capabilities is more urgent than ever. Help keep our voices strong by making a donation to the CCPA.

Your support allows us to produce top-notch research and present it forcefully in public debates, and you will receive a tax receipt for 100% of your donation. If you'd rather make a donation over the phone, contact Anskia at 613-563-1341 x309.

Tax receipts are mailed early in the new year.
