Living Wage Forum in New Westminster

Tuesday, Feb 9, 2010, 6:30pm - 9:30pm

350 Columbia Street, New Westminster, BC

Organized by BC Acorn and the Living Wage for Families Campaign.

CCPA-BC is a proud member of the Living Wage for Families Campaign, and CCPA-BC Director Seth Klein will be speaking at the forum, along with Michael McCarthy Flynn from the campaign and Jamie McEvoy, New West City Councillor.

There will also be presentations by workers trying to get by on low wages and business owners who pay a living wage. New Westminster City Council is considering becoming the first city in Canada to pass a living wage bylaw. Come out to the forum to learn more about what a living wage is and why we need this bylaw.

For more information contact BC ACORN at 604-522-8706 or bcacornva@acorncanada.org. (Please do not contact the CCPA office.)

Welcome to the BC Office

Seth Klein

“When the CCPA British Columbia Office opened in 1997, we dove into BC’s public policy debates head first, backed by the solid research and expertise CCPA is known for. We’ve been at it ever since, challenging the message that there is no alternative, and showing that a more just, caring and sustainable society is possible.” – Seth Klein
