"George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight" recognizes CCPA's work on gender-based inequality

This past Saturday, March 8th was International Women's Day (IWD)—a day to celebrate the contributions of women and girls to our lives and communities, and a time to highlight the issues facing women and girls around the world.

As one day out of the year isn't enough to adequately address all of the issues faced by 50 per cent of the world's population, the folks at CBC's George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight decided to highlight five Canadian organizations spearheading projects, both in this country and abroad, fighting for the safety, agency, freedom and equality of women, all year long. We are very pleased that one of the projects they chose to highlight was CCPA's Making Women Count.

Check out the full list on their website: 5 Canadian Organizations That Treat Every Day Like It’s Women’s Day.
