Toronto's "Hot Jobs" or McJobs?

A company called Career Builder last week released a list of the top ten "hot jobs" in Toronto, Ontario's largest job market.

As CCPA Economist Armine Yalnizyan writes in the Globe's Economy Lab, three out of four of the list's top job categories pay somewhere between $10.25/hr (minimum wage) and $13/hr.

Food for thought as the Ontario government reviews the mininum wage, and as we find that fulltime work is less and less likely to lift individuals and families out of poverty.
