On March 5th, the CCPA held its first ever telephone town hall, which enabled us to engage in a live, interactive dialogue with almost 4,000 of our valued supporters from the comfort of their own homes.
Supporters joined us from around the country, as Executive Director Bruce Campbell hosted a lively discussion with two of our senior economists, Armine Yalnizyan and David Macdonald. David and Armine discussed the key economic, social and environmental issues we face as a country, and how they are addressed by the CCPA’s Alternative Federal Budget. Throughout the call, participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions live, and to share their thoughts on a number of important issues through real-time, interactive quick polls.
Many thanks to those of you who were able to join us, and to those who took the time to ask questions and to leave us comments afterward. We appreciate your support, and look forward to making the town hall an annual event.
