Angela Gillis teaches elementary school and has been a member of the Nova Scotia Teachers Union for 25 years. She has Master of Education degrees in Curriculum and Instruction as well as Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. In her spare time, she is trying to regain elements of her culture, virtually lost through generations of English immersion, by studying Cape Breton Step Dance and Gàidhlig.
