Holt Stuart-Hitchcox is a doctoral student in education at York University. He examines neoliberalism’s increasing privatization
of education and critically considers shifts in study emphasis to subjects most aligned with neoliberal ends. Beyond his work on
the Public Education Exchange project, Holt examines neoliberalism’s increasing marginalization of music study in education,
and considers how music and arts study might serve to resist neoliberalism in society at large.
