Globalization, Trade Treaties and the Future of the Atlantic Canadian Fisheries

About this Publication

The report, Globalization, Trade Treaties and the Future of the Atlantic Canadian Fisheries, describes how new treaties could undermine the ability of Canadians to pursue public policies that curb domination of the fisheries by large corporations and help spread the benefits of the fishery more widely among independent fishers and coastal communities. A French summary of this report is also available for download.

Over the last 30 years, the CCPA has provided alternative research and analysis that have been indispensable in exposing the corporate agenda. I don’t know what I’d have done without them.
