Heather McCain is Executive Director of Citizens for Accessible Neighbourhoods (CAN), a non-profit society she founded in 2005. Heather’s personal experience with disability led her to become a well-known and respected speaker, advocate, educator and promoter of universal design, disability awareness, inclusionary practices, and adapted sports and recreation. Through CAN, Heather strives to ensure that people with disabilities see themselves reflected in their communities while increasing access to information for all.
