Join Linda McQuaig & Neil Brooks September 17th
This year’s Rosenbluth Lecture will feature authors Linda McQuaig and Neil Brooks, who will take the stage with CCPA senior economist Marc Lee about their new book Cancelling Billionaires Before They Cancel Us. Attendance is free for all, but registration is required below.
Linda is the recipient of a National Newspaper Award for investigative reporting. She is also the author of eight national bestsellers, including Shooting the Hippo, selected by the Literary Review of Canada as one of the twenty-five most influential books of the past twenty-five years. Neil is professor emeritus at Osgoode Hall School, where he taught tax law and policy for more than forty years, and served as director of Osgoode’s graduate program in taxation. He has published extensively in academic journals and advised governments around the world on tax issues.
They will be available for a Q&A session and to sign books as well (you can check out an excerpt from their book here).

About the Rosenbluth Memorial Lecture
The annual Gideon Rosenbluth Memorial Lecture is presented by the CCPA and the Vancouver School of Economics at UBC in honour of Gideon Rosenbluth. Gideon was a long-time research associate with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and a highly respected member of the UBC economics department, as well as the economics community in Canada and around the world. His rigorous approach to scholarship and community involvement was guided by his commitment to social justice. Among his many roles, he was president of the Canadian Association of University Teachers and president of the Canadian Economics Association.
