Martha Paynter
Martha Paynter (she/her) is a registered nurse providing reproductive care in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The founder and volunteer chair of Wellness Within: An Organization for Health and Justice, she is completing her PhD at the Dalhousie University School of Nursing. Her nursing practice, teaching and research focus on the intersection of reproductive health and the justice system. She is the author of “Abortion to Abolition: Reproductive Health and Justice in Canada” published in Spring 2022 by Fernwood Publishing. She is a Research Associate with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives-Nova Scotia.
