The COVID-19 pandemic has put pressure on Canada's leaders to think boldly and act on addressing the country's longstanding problems.
The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives' latest Alternative Federal Budget, a project now in its 26th year, offers solutions to ensure a transformative, publicly led and inclusive recovery.
This project is a collaboration among organizations and researchers from a variety of sectors, populations, and areas of expertise including human rights, labour, environmental protection, anti-poverty, arts and culture, social development, child development, international development, women, Indigenous peoples, the faith-based community, students, teachers, education, and health care workers.
The AFB recognizes that all governments must step up to ensure a just, equitable and sustainable post-pandemic Canada.
